Profile Information

Occupation:
Publisher
About Me:
I publish Be Magazine, the magazine for Smart, Mature, and Local women along the northern Front Range of Colorado. I began this venture in November of 2009 after working in the corporate world for 13 years.

What sets Be Magazine apart from other women's magazines is that we won't be including dieting tips or endorsing elective plastic surgery. We will celebrate the contrasts and contradictions of every woman and tell the stories of the amazing women living among us!

Regarding your question: changing from free to subscription based...this depends on your circulation - do you have critical mass? How strong is your brand? How would your advertisers react to a drop in readership while you are making your conversion? Would your initial subsription base make up for the initial drop in ad revenue? If yes, then I think, go for it. For my magazine, we are distrubuting to an exclusive group, and the advertisers care more about the quality of the readers than the quantity.
